Cell phone scare

Good news for all those people who usually forget their cell phones at malls, restaurants or theatres. They won't be stolen. In fact, they won't be touched.

I am one of those guys who put their cell phones wherever they sit - on the desk, on table anywhere. And after forgetting it like that for the third time and getting it back safely, I thought I'll write about it. People are so frightened about cell phones these days(especially after the blasts in many places), that when you forget your cell phone somewhere, they wouldn't dare to touch it.

1. In pvr cinemas, I was writting my name on some card(Was told I could win a prize from a lucky draw by doing so) and I left my phone there. Some guy started shouting a minute later asking whose phone it was. I thanked him and took it. But he was furious, "Enti sir, ala marchipotaru cell phone. Jagratha ga undali kada" etc etc

2. In a restaurant where I went alone on a saturday to have a peaceful dinner, I paid the bill, came out and was starting my bike, the waiter came running and said I had forgotten my cell. When I asked him to give it, he said it's still on the table(obviously scared to touch it)

3. Today, when I went to Roxana towers to pay my tata indicom bill, I left it at the cashiers table, again the security guard standing at the door, came running and told me I had forgotten the phone. I could see him eyeing me cautiously till I entered the lift.

I don't know whether to be happy or sad at these things. Should I be happy that I have not lost my cell phone though I misplaced it thrice or should I be unhappy that there is a constant sense of fear in the minds of hyderabadis. I hate terrorism for creating such a feeling in the minds of us. Because of that, you begin to suspect every person you don't know. I wish hyderabad was a more peaceful place. I wish whosoever invented bombs, guns had died of malaria before he invented them.

And finally, good work my fellow city-folk for being cautious. We aren't in times where we can be careless(though I wish this weren't the case). Let's hope no more unfortunate incidents happen. We should be careful till those peaceful days come where you can trust everyone.
